Truer words word never spoken;
Home is where the Hearth is.
After spending yesterday writing up my post on the Irish Spirit Wheel, I began contemplating my current position; and making note (albeit mentally) of the areas of my wheel that are working well, and those that need some changes. I think that's what it really hit home that I had totally forgotten about the North; my Hearth. Obviously it's hard to keep a house clean when you're sharing it; and even harder when your own room is only half yours, and half Yogi Bear's (the Brother has taken lately to coming home, eating, sleeping and then waking only to eat again before going to bed - They call it "The Junior Cert") but even still; I had totally neglected and forgotten about my room, my altar, and my Hearth.
When I took a look around it this morning; I could clearly see that it was in a total mess, and that as a result so was I. Not just that I couldn't find anything AT ALL, but just general mental sloppiness. So the sleeves were rolled up, the rubbish bags prepped, and now it is the most tidy I have ever seen it in my life. And such relief from it being done! I actually feel so much better; clearer; fresher because of it. My altar is very much back in order now too. I had (partly unwillingly) taken many pieces into school for an art assignment in still life; but I learned that the absence of this keystone was quite detrimental. I don't use it so much for practice or workings; but feel that it is important in it's own right; as I see it every morning and it is a physical reminder of my Spirit. Now it's all purdy and shiny and I even bought some new candles. YAY! :D

I'm currently waiting with bated breath for the arrival of my Thoth; but more on that when they come ;) Actually; while we're on the topic of Divination and Tarot cards, I have a sort of spooky (or at least for me it's spooky!) experience. During last week's New Moon, I decided to do some divining for the cycle ahead, and after I was done, I noticed that one of the cards; "The Lovers" was missing. No where to be seen. Tore the house apart looking for it, and even when I cleared out and re-zenned my room, there was no sign of it. At this stage I was worried that some curious person may have been taking a sneaky peaky at my cards, so I took them out again to make sure that nothing else was a-miss, and low-and-behold; I count a full deck of 78 cards. There in the middle of them was Lovers, almost as if it was always there! Talk about Asport then Apport eh? There must be some message in this card for me... Might have to do with the fact that my dreams are filled with pineapples; symbolising social success, self confidence and sexiness, a hot new love affair and someone returning. Also, funnily enough this week's horoscopes talk about how someone may show up to rekindle an old flame avec moi.
Eeeikk!
